The application period for State-selected NAR Director seats (state, small and medium boards) is now open!

Before the deadline of August 1, 2022, any member desiring to be elected to the state, small board, or medium board allocated seats must complete the NAR Director application on the NAR website and certify they meet all of the NAR qualifications and requirements to serve as a Director (please review the application to see the required qualifications).

Please note: Virginia REALTORS® will NOT be excepting letters of endorsement.

State allocated, medium, and small allocated NAR Director elections will be held during the Virginia REALTORS^® Board of Directors meeting on August 25th, 1:00 pm, at the Virginia Association of REALTORS^® Glen Allen office (10231 Telegraph Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23059).

Candidates in attendance will be invited to address the Board.

• In the Position Sought Drop Down list, YOU MUST SELECT “STATE ALLOCATED DIRECTOR” REGARDLESS OF YOUR PRIMARY BOARD SIZE. 

PLEASE NOTE:

• The Board of Directors will elect the small and medium board allocated positions first.  The state-allocated position/s will be filled with the remaining candidates in order of the highest vote recipients regardless of primary board size. The number of state allocated positions will be determined after NAR completes the July 31st membership count.
• The state does not select the Large Board allocated Directors. If you select “Large Board Allocated” under the position sought, you will not be considered for a state-selected position. Please reach out directly to your Large Local Association (NVAR, RAR, or HRRA) for information on their process for electing NAR Directors.

Remember, applications must be completed on the NAR site no later than end of day on August 1st, 2022.
