Virginia REALTORS® Hires Senior Vice President of Community and Industry Relations
August 20, 2020
Virginia REALTORS® is excited to announce the hiring of Leslie J. Frazier, who will be serving as the Senior Vice President of Community and Industry Relations. Leslie brings to the association a wealth of expertise in community outreach and government policy. Most recently, she served in the administration of Governor Ralph Northam as the Director of Virginia Fosters, an initiative that creates solutions and resources for children, families, and workers in Virginia’s child welfare system. In this role, Leslie led collaborations with lawmakers, business leaders, and nonprofit organizations. She also served in Governor Northam’s administration as the Assistant Secretary of Veterans and Defense Affairs and in the administration of Governor Terence McAuliffe as the Assistant Director of Appointments and the Policy Director for the Secretary of Veterans and Defense Affairs.
In her new role with Virginia REALTORS®, Leslie’s work will help advance the objectives of the association regarding housing and real property policy, access to safe and affordable housing, and diversity and inclusion in property ownership and fair housing initiatives. She will serve as the association’s point of contact with Virginia industry, nonprofit, and non-legislative governmental organizations who influence these issues.
When asked about this new position, Leslie said, “It is an honor to be joining the team at Virginia REALTORS®. Housing is the foundation for a good quality of life, and I am excited to learn from real estate leaders how we can strengthen this foundation and make it more accessible. I am committed to ensuring that Virginia’s real estate industry is more diverse, equitable, and inclusive.”
After earning Bachelor of Arts degrees in American Government and Spanish from the University of Virginia, Leslie continued her education at Virginia Tech, where she received a Master of Public Administration degree. She also graduated from two leadership programs under the elite Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership.
Leslie’s new role with Virginia REALTORS® will begin on September 1, 2020, and we hope you will join us in extending her a warm welcome.
