Madness in March: The beginning of a WILD election year!
March 29, 2023
Following the conclusion of Legislative Session, the lawmakers in Virginia have shifted their sights from passing good legislation to one very important thing: 2023 elections.
That’s right! It’s that maddening year of elections where ALL 140 seats in the general assembly are on the ballot! To add to the chaos, 22 members of the House and Senate announced their intent to retire, and an additional 13 announced that they will be seeking a different office in the 2023 elections.
All of these turnovers leave us certain to see a very different group of lawmakers in Richmond next January. New teams and new players mean new opportunities for REALTOR® champions to come off of the bench and advocate for our priorities.
One big slam dunk for REALTORS® is that RPAC will work on our behalf to ensure we are able to elect REALTOR® Champions in November so we do not drop the ball or get out of bounds when it comes to policy that benefit our industry.
