VAR Celebrates Record Number of GRI Grads
February 11, 2022
In the last two years, Virginia REALTORS® saw an immense spike in interest for the GRI program. Over 100 graduates completed the program in 2021! The GRI program (short for Graduate, REALTOR® Institute) is a designation program created by NAR and administered by the state associations for new agent education. This program is specifically designed to give a new REALTOR® foundational knowledge to run a successful real estate business. Topics that are covered in the program include everything from contracts, risk management, Code of Ethics, working with buyers and sellers, and business planning skills.
When the pandemic hit Virginia in 2020, the state association, along with their local association partners, moved GRI courses from the classroom into virtual settings. In a time of uncertainty, members across the state who were working from home offices, or managing a household with kids in the background, found easy access to their education needs. Virtual classes were packed, and members were learning new skills to keep their businesses thriving.
Virginia REALTORS® would like to personally congratulate all our members who graduated from the GRI program. Way to go! For those that are still working on the coursework, keep it up, we’re cheering you on! For those interested in learning more about the GRI program, check out it out on the Learning Center.
