Virginia REALTORS® Surpass 2018 RPAC Goals
February 11, 2019
The room was abuzz with excitement as Virginia REALTORS® held the 2018 REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) Awards Ceremony on February 6, during the 2019 Economic & Advocacy Summit. There was much to celebrate.
After setting the lofty goal of raising one million dollars for RPAC in 2018, the association learned that the final contribution number was $1,037,978.
Twenty local associations earned the prestigious Triple Crown Award, the most esteemed RPAC accolade recognizing local association efforts. The RPAC Triple Crown is awarded to those associations who meet or exceed all three RPAC fundraising goals: Participation, Fundraising, and Major Investors (those who contribute at least $1,000 annually).
Eight associations received RPAC Awards, meaning they met or exceeded one of two of their RPAC goals. The ceremony illustrated the tremendous effort that went into supporting RPAC across all parts of the Commonwealth.
In 2019, RPAC is celebrating its 50th year of strengthening the real estate industry. Check out the video Virginia REALTORS® submitted to NAR’s “50 Years of RPAC” video competition. Virginia REALTORS® placed in the top three, likely due to the tangible passion driving each member’s testimony.
