Centennial Updates
After careful consideration of all options, out of an abundance of caution for the safety and wellbeing of our members, Virginia REALTORS® has made the difficult decision to cancel Centennial 2021: Virginia REALTORS® Annual Convention, which was to be held Sept. 21-23 in downtown Richmond, and to hold governance meetings virtually. The growing numbers of the Delta virus strain have created an immense challenge for holding in-person events safely, and the safety of our members is always our top consideration.
We want to keep connected and keep business going, so we are adapting meetings to a virtual format. Please see the schedule below. Don’t see your committee meeting? Please reach out to your staff liaison for updated information.

Cancelation FAQs
Q: What if I have already registered for the convention?
A: You will be fully refunded for any payment(s) you have made to Virginia REALTORS®. Our team at Virginia REALTORS® will be taking care of these cancelations, so you do not need to log in to the website and do anything yourself.
If you paid for your convention registration/ticketed events with a credit card, your refund should be completed no later than September 15. You will receive an email confirming your card has been refunded. If you paid by check, those payments will be handled separately and should also be completed no later than September 15.
Q: What if I do not see my refund posted by September 15?
A: If it is September 15 (or later) and you do not see that your refund has been posted, please email members@virginiarealtors.org, and a member of our staff will reach out to assist you.
Q: What do I do if I’ve already booked a hotel room?
A: If you booked your hotel room through VAR’s registration process (using our official room block at the Richmond Marriott or the Hilton Richmond Downtown), we will be canceling those reservations for you. If you did not reserve your room through us—or if you are unsure—we highly recommend reaching out to the hotel directly to cancel. The foolproof way to ensure ALL hotel reservations are canceled correctly is to contact the hotel.
Q: Will our association’s upcoming governance meetings still be held in Richmond?
A: No, all of our governance meetings will be held 100% virtually. Our large leadership meetings (i.e., Board of Directors meeting, Delegate Body meeting, PAG) will be held (virtually) at the same day/time as originally scheduled. Committee meetings will also be held virtually. If you are a Committee Chair, your staff liaison will contact you soon to work out details regarding your schedule and setup. More details regarding meetings will be provided soon. This year’s full meeting lineup can be viewed above. Please reach out to your liaison if you do not see your committee listed.
Q: What will happen to our Awards & Installation ceremony?
A: The Virginia REALTORS® 2021 Awards & Installation Ceremony is now scheduled to take place in January, during Summit 2022: Leadership Summit & Business Meetings. More details to come soon.
