A Fresh Take on Client Appreciation Gifts
October 29, 2024
Market changes are taking place as mortgage rates finally decline and supply conditions slowly improve. This is a great time to refresh your client gift ideas with some new takes on what you can offer as a “thank you” gift after a transaction closes and you part ways.
Custom and Thoughtful
The latest trend in gift giving is still proving to be “less is more”, and useful items as opposed to extra “stuff.” Give your clients a personal touch to add to their brand-new home that won’t break the bank or take up too much space.
Many artists on Etsy can create digital masterpieces if you just send them a photo. You can find an artist on Etsy you like, send them a photo of your client’s home, get the piece they create printed or shipped, and then all you’ll need is a frame! It will be great to commemorate when your client first moved in and provide them their first piece of decor.
Other gifts with a personal touch could include a custom welcome mat, or a gift card to a local restaurant or small business you think they’d like to try.
For the Foodies
If your clients have expressed a special interest in cooking or finding the best local dives, a gift involving food is the great idea. Grab a nice decorative and reusable basket and shop around at the best places in the area for some local treats. Think: coffee shops, family-owned restaurants, or gift shops.
If time is of the essence and you need something quickly, provide them with a neighborhood map of some of the top-rated spots in the area. You could also gift them a recipe book so they can start using their new kitchen right away!
Home Improvements
With a new home comes new responsibilities and chores. Why not get your client a starter kit for the inevitable projects that will come their way?! You can go simple with an eco- and family-friendly cleaning supply kit with all the basics so that they can skip that section on their first grocery trip.
Or, you could put together a home improvement kit including basic tools, wall-hanging hardware, painting supplies, or organization boxes. This could help prevent them from having to run out last minute when something breaks.
Add a little sparkle to your clients’ new homes this fall with gifts from the heart. A small touch can create a lasting impression for your future business AND help make your clients’ days a little brighter.
