Virginia REALTORS® Welcomes Two New Team Members
February 4, 2022
As we continue to grow our capabilities in serving our members, the Virginia REALTORS® staff is growing, as well! Join us in welcoming these two talented women to the VAR team.
Shavon Gunnell has joined our Legal Department in the role of Paralegal and Professional Standards Administrator. In this role, she will support our team of lawyers by handling ethics and arbitration cases for local associations that have joined the Virginia REALTORS® cooperative and managing Standards Forms.
A former member of the Air Force Reserve, Shavon earned a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University and later graduated from the paralegal program at the University of Richmond. When she’s not working hard for the association, Shavon enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and two beautiful children.
We are also pleased to welcome Marissa Mickelson, who now serves as Director of Governance and Executive Support. No stranger to the REALTOR® world, Marissa and her husband recently moved to the commonwealth from Utah, where she worked as the Education Coordinator for the Salt Lake Board of REALTORS®.
For Virginia REALTORS®, Marissa will support our association’s leadership and help coordinate governance meetings and initiatives. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, painting, drawing, and running.
Welcome to the team, Shavon and Marissa!
