Get Out The Vote 2021
October 28, 2021
Election Day is almost here, and soon, the TV commercials and mailers will stop flooding our lives. But as annoying as political campaigning may be, it is important for you to go out and exercise your right to vote.
Some key things to remember this year:
- Election Day is Tuesday, November 2nd. Polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. You can look up your polling place here. If you are in line by 7:00 p.m., you will be allowed to vote.
- When voting in person, you will be asked to provide a photo ID. However, if you do not have a photo ID, you can still vote after you sign an ID statement affirming your identity.
- If you know you won’t be able to make it to the polls on November 2nd, you can still vote early by in-person absentee by Saturday, October 30th. Check with your local voter registration office to find out times and locations.
- If you are voting with a by-mail ballot, it must be postmarked on or before election day and returned to your voter registrar by noon on Friday, November 5th. You can also check with your local voter registration office about dropping off a by-mail ballot in person.
