Beginning January 1, 2023, a new required course will be added to the Broker Premier certification program–Fairhaven. Fairhaven is an on-demand, scenario-based training program created by the National Association of REALTORS^® (NAR). The interactive program was designed to help REALTORS^® hone their skills and knowledge around fair housing.

Fairhaven was approved by the Virginia Real Estate Board and DPOR for 1-hour real estate related CE credit in fall 2022. The self-paced course can be taken at any time. You can access the Fairhaven course on the Virginia
REALTORS^® Learning Center.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I’ve already completed Fairhaven?
If you have already completed the training through NAR, you will be asked to submit a completion certificate during the graduation application process. As a reminder, you must complete all 7 courses for Broker Premier within 3 years of the first course date.

How do I acquire my completion certificate?
Log in to the NAR website and then go to fairhaven.realtor/home. If you have completed the simulation with NAR, you will see a bright yellow icon that says, “Print Certificate.” You can print the certificate, then scan it and upload to your graduation application. Or if you’d rather not print a physical copy, you can visit Adobe’s website for instructions on how to Print to PDF. Once you’ve acquired your completion certificate, you will upload it to your Broker Premier graduation application once you’ve finished all the required courses.
