RESPA Resources for YOU
December 4, 2024
It’s that time of year again, the time everyone cherishes.
I’m talking about checking your mailbox for boiled peanuts, of course.
Legally speaking, what are boiled peanuts? A thing of value.
I’m sure you have heard that phrase before, ‘thing of value’ and here we are in the season of giving once more. So, this is an excellent time for everyone to be reminded and refreshed of RESPA.
We have written and recorded videos in the past about RESPA and, like a ghost that doesn’t go away, I have provided the links below for you. Please do take the time to read or listen to the materials to ensure that you stay on the jolly side of compliance.
As always, please be sure to ask your broker for a refresher on their policies. It is also worth reminding that the Virginia REALTORS® Legal Hotline is available to all members for questions as well.
