Virginia REALTORS^® CFO Richard “Rick” Lugg with CEO Terrie Suit

On June 12, Virginia Business hosted the 2019 CFO Awards, honoring the top financial officers in the Commonwealth.

Thirty-five talented CFOs were nominated from across a diverse array of industries. Virginia REALTORS^® CFO Richard “Rick” Lugg was awarded the top honor in the category of Small Nonprofit Organizations.

Rick has made significant contributions to Virginia REALTORS^® since joining the staff a decade ago. Under his leadership, the company’s investments have increased exponentially, year-over-year, and he successfully led the redesign of the association’s website in 2017. In 2018, it was dubbed “Best Association/MLS Website” in the nation by REAL Trends. Rick’s IT background, business knowledge, and risk management skills have propelled the association forward while ensuring smooth operations.

Most importantly, Rick is known for his empathy and his commitment to volunteer work. We commend Rick on being named 2019 CFO of the year, and we ask all Virginia REALTORS^® to join us in congratulating him!
