Fairhaven—the National Association of REALTORS^®(NAR)’s new fair housing training tool—has been a large priority for Virginia REALTORS^® this year. Early in her term, 2021 President Beth Dalton challenged our members to complete Fairhaven as a way for us to learn more about fair housing and demonstrate a commitment to ensuring that housing is truly fair. It is a fun, interactive tool that takes little time—only about an hour to complete.

Our local associations immediately stepped up to the President’s challenge, which has gained attention from NAR leaders, as well as other states who have mirrored our efforts. Virginia REALTORS^® is so proud of all of our local associations, and we want to particularly congratulate the Top 5 with the highest percentage of Fairhaven completion:

First Place – Charlottesville Area Association of REALTORS^®

Second Place – Bristol Tennessee-Virginia Association of REALTORS^®

Third Place – Chesapeake Bay and Rivers Association of REALTORS^®

Fourth Place – Harrisonburg-Rockingham Association of REALTORS^®

Fifth Place – Lynchburg Association of REALTORS^®

Although this challenge is over, we encourage our members to continue using the Fairhaven tool. Let’s stay committed to ensuring that housing is, indeed, fair.
