Q2 2025 Virginia Multifamily Market Report

Virginia’s multifamily market had positive absorption in the second quarter but it slowed from a year ago and the vacancy rate inched down. Construction activity continues to cool, and new deliveries were half of what they were a year ago. Rent levels are still rising in all metro markets across the Commonwealth.
