Q: “I own a home that I am getting ready to list. Do I still have to include an ‘Agent/Owner’ rider on my ‘For-Sale’ sign?”

A: Not necessarily. While the real estate regs used to require that licensees selling or renting their property include a disclosure of such interest in any advertising, the new regulations that went into effect on April 1, 2026, no longer require that. However, the law still requires that any licensee who has an ownership interest in property that they are selling must disclose such interest in writing upon having substantive discussions about specific real property. If you or your broker wish to continue including that disclosure in advertising, you are certainly allowed to do so.
