2026 NAR Director Applications are now open, and the deadline to apply for a state-appointed position is July 31st!  Eligible members will apply through NAR’s website, but there will be an election by the Virginia REALTORS® Board of Directors on Thursday, August 28th to ultimately determine who the 2026 State-appointed NAR Directors will be.  We will not know our final number of seats until the latest membership count is released on July 31st, but right now we are anticipating three(3) seats that will be appointed by the state association:

  • 1 State Allocated Position (pending membership count)
  • 1 Medium Association (note:  to be eligible for this seat, your primary local association must be a Medium size)
  • 1 Small Association (note:  to be eligible for this seat, your primary local association must be a Small size)

Please make sure you select the correct position you’re seeking (for example:  do not select the large association seat because those are appointed by locals, not VAR).
