HOW TO APPLY: All members of the Virginia REALTORS^® are eligible to apply to the Virginia Leadership Academy. Application forms should include as much information as possible. Members are strongly encouraged to provide endorsements from their local associations and peers.

APPLICATION TIMELINE: The application open period will be announced biennially.

SELECTION CRITERIA: Members are accepted through a competitive application process that prioritizes commitment to association, industry leadership, and personal and professional development. Participation in the Virginia Leadership Academy is open to all REALTORS^® living in the state of Virginia. A maximum of 15 individuals will be selected to participate in the program. As space is limited, applicants who are not selected are encouraged to reapply in subsequent years. Participants will be selected based on their application, geographic location, and other considerations. These potential leaders will have knowledge of or be active in their Local Boards/Associations, and/or be active in real estate specialty areas, affiliated REALTOR^® groups, community-based organizations, or other volunteer organizations.

TUITION: Tuition for the VLA Class of 2024 is $2,000 and scholarship opportunities are available. Please indicate on the application if you would like to be considered for a scholarship.

SCHEDULE: Attendance at all Leadership Academy events is mandatory. Those who fail to attend will be asked to withdraw, with no tuition refund. Please view the following list for 2024 program dates.

• Orientation: December 10, 2023
• Virtual Session 1: January 31, 2024
• Virtual Session 2: February 21, 2024
• Virtual Session 3: March 14, 2024
• Retreat 1: April 9-11, 2024
• Virtual Session 4: June 6, 2024
• Retreat 2: July 16-18, 2024
• Graduation: September 18, 2024
