Erin Barton
As Deputy Legislative Counsel for Virginia REALTORS®, Erin works with the Government Affairs Team to research potential legislative issues, draft legislation, and provide testimony during the legislative session. She is also staff liaison to the Property Management Council.
Barrie Bowers
Barrie Bowers is an attorney at FutureLaw II, LLC., a law firm headquartered in Richmond, Virginia focusing on commercial real estate, property management, and landlord-tenant law. Barrie has 25 years of experience in real estate and landlord-tenant law. Barrie has been teaching approved fair housing and real-estate related courses for FutureLaw, L.L.C. for the past ten years to both industry groups and in-house to property management and real estate companies.
Grimes Creasey
Grimes joined JAMlaw in August of 1995 after several years with a large firm in Richmond. Grimes’ legal practice spans a wide spectrum of practice areas. Grimes has successfully tried and defended numerous federal and state court cases, and he has been instrumental in the drafting and interpreting the Virginia Residential Landlord and Tenant Act.

Marc Cunningham is the President of Grace Property Management & Real Estate, holds a degree in Real Estate & Finance, has taught CE classes in over 20 states, has been featured in multiple national real estate publications, hold multiple designations, and was just named the 2018 national property manager of the year by Think Realty.
Chip Dicks
Chip’s extensive background in writing legislation and working in the General Assembly made him the ideal person to work closely with the Virginia REALTORS® Policy Team. He will be answering your questions during the final session of PMX on Friday morning.
Laura Farley
Laura started working at NVAR as a legal intern the summer between her second and third year of law school. After graduation, she accepted a full-time position as an attorney at NVAR. Three years later, an opportunity opened up at Virginia REALTORS® that would allow her use the Regulatory Law Certificate she had earned in law school, so she applied and was hired! Just over three years and three promotions later, she was made General Counsel when Jim Hopper decided to retire.
