Act NOW to Protect Your Real Estate License
Get your license requirements in order today!
On July 31, 2021, the temporary waiver put in place by Governor Northam to extend the validity of expired licenses and credentials amid COVID-19 will EXPIRE.
NOW is the time to ensure your real estate license requirements, continuing education (CE) credits, and fees are current so that you can continue to do business after the COVID-19 Executive Orders are rescinded on July 31. The clock is ticking for you to make sure your business requirements are in order. Act now!
If you have NOT completed your license requirements, this means you will have to take all mandatory CE and pay any late fees associated with failing to renew your license on time.
Waiting for the state of emergency to be lifted could put you in limbo. DPOR will likely be facing a significant number of renewal applications that it may not be able to process in 30 days. It is unlikely that licensees can operate while waiting for DPOR to work through the backlog that may come from people waiting.
Information on DPOR’s actions in response to COVID-19 can be found on its website.
